AT Note: Allow me to emphasize this visual from the report:
AT Note: John Droz Jr. suggests that the 2011 EIA subsidy graph used to prepare his “Electrical Energy: Sound Scientific Solutions,” portrays wind as MUCH worse than the graph used by Chairman Ryan. We highly recommend you view Mr. Droz’ presentation which is available at the link.
From the EIA report “Direct Federal Financial Interventions and Subsidies in Energy in Fiscal Year 2010” (http://wind-watch.org/doc/?p=2493), the subsidies can be calculated as $52.48/MWh for wind, $0.63/MWh for natural gas and oil, $0.64/MWh for coal, $0.84/MWh for hydro, $3.10/MWh for nuclear, and $968/MWh for solar.
